Identify the fuel and connection
Check whether the appliance is electric, hardwired, or gas. Removal crews need the appliance fully disconnected; licensed trade work should happen first where required.
Questions that shape the pickup
| Question | Reason |
|---|---|
| Freestanding or built-in? | Built-ins need cabinet fasteners and connections handled. |
| Gas or electric? | Gas and hardwired equipment need qualified disconnection. |
| Do the doors or racks come loose? | Loose parts should be removed or secured. |
| Will it clear the doorway? | Knobs and handles add depth. |
Keep the route stable
Remove loose racks, protect the floor, and make sure the range cannot tip while waiting. Do not use the open oven door as a handle.
Plan the pickup
Call with the appliance type, condition, floor level, and tightest access point. Read the companion Oven & Stove Removal page for service boundaries, or visit the estimate guide.
